Access Statement

Layhead Farm Cottages and its owner Rosemary Hyslop are fully committed to providing excellent information and help and guidance where necessary so that all visitors to the cottages are fully aware of accessibility arrangements and any areas that may be inaccessible so that this will enable them to make the best possible use of all facilities offered and to help them to thoroughly enjoy their stay at Layhead Farm Cottages.

For this reason there are floor plans for every cottage, these are available both in the brochures and here on the Layhead Farm Cottages web site.

Health and safety is also of paramount importance, and all public areas and approach routes to the cottages are well lit and most lights are fitted with sensors to ensure the best possible lighted access. Also for this reason all cottages are fitted with fire blankets and fire extinguishers to address any risk of fire. Clear notices for fire safety rules and, what to do in the event of a fire are also on the notice board in every cottage, and fire risk assessments are also kept for all cottages.

For access for emergency services vehicles, telephone numbers together with grid references of the cottages are on every notice board in every cottage. There is good vehicular access to the holiday cottage complex for emergency services and an outside water supply for use by the fire services in the event of a fire.
